Who We Work With

Owner-operators, founders, and mission-driven leaders building organizations that match the work.

The Practice

A leader who built something real and is ready for the organization to match it.

Org Excel partners with owner-operators and founders of mission-driven organizations who are subject matter experts in their field and ready to build the operating infrastructure their work deserves. The firm is drawn to female founders, leaders in behavioral health and ABA, and LGBTQ-serving organizations, because Org Excel understands that world from the inside. The common thread across all of it is a leader who built something real and is ready for the organization to match it.

The deepest expertise is in ABA practice. The framework was developed inside an ABA organization, refined across nearly three decades in autism care, and documented for the field in The Behavioral Blueprint for an Organization of Excellence. Practice owners running clinical operations under the BACB Ethics Code, navigating payer mix complexity, and managing treatment fidelity at scale are the founders the framework was built for first.

The science extends beyond ABA. Organizational Behavior Management and Behavioral Systems Analysis are not autism-specific. They are the science of how organizations function, and they apply anywhere people work. Org Excel currently extends to mission-driven organizations across behavioral health, healthcare delivery, and the technology companies building tools for these sectors. The framework's architecture, eleven domains across three clusters at four developmental stages, applies regardless of the industry the practice is operating in. The operational specifics shift. The behavioral mechanisms do not.

How the Partnership Works

Built around the systems that get installed.

Org Excel partners in the form the organization needs and is ready for. The pathway is determined at engagement start through a conversation about the organization, its operational state, and the founder's goals. Every engagement is structured around the systems that get installed rather than the hours that get billed, and the deliverable is operational infrastructure that the team owns and operates.

Org Excel is accountable to what the organization can do without Org Excel in the room. That is the test the engagement is built to pass.

Three Pathways

Three engagement pathways, one operating standard.

01
Most common entry point

Collaborative

The Collaborative pathway includes two modes of engagement, selected by the scope of the build and the practice's internal capacity to execute. Org Excel works with the team to build systems, develop leaders, and hold the operational standard. Two modes are available within this pathway.

Advisory

Consultative

A defined-scope advisory engagement. Org Excel assesses operational gaps across the eleven domains in the organization's context, recommends the build sequence, and provides structured guidance on a packaged-hours basis. The owner and the leadership team execute the build, with Org Excel coaching them through execution, developing the leadership behaviors each system depends on and mentoring the founder through decisions that are new to them.

Embedded

Fractional

An ongoing fractional partnership. Org Excel works with the owner-operator across stages, building the eleven-domain infrastructure, developing clinical and operational leaders, and holding the operational standard through to sustained outcomes.

02
Equity partnership

Embedded Operational Partner

For founders ready to bring Org Excel in as an operational co-founder.

Org Excel installs the full operating infrastructure across all eleven domains, with compensation structured through equity that vests against measurable operational milestones. The pathway applies across developmental stages, from single-site foundation work through multi-site scale and exit preparation, and is selected by founders ready to share equity in the value the systems will create.

Self-Directed In development

The framework, the eleven-domain task library, and the stage-by-stage implementation guides licensed to the organization for internal implementation.

This pathway is in development for organizations with the internal operations capacity to lead their own build.

The specific scope, structure, and terms for any pathway are determined at engagement start.

The Engagement Workflow

Five phases. One operational engine.

For ongoing engagements, the work moves through five phases. Consultative engagements use a scoped subset, tailored to the agreed advisory scope.

  1. 01

    Operational Audit

A full assessment across all eleven Org Excel domains, adapted to the organization's context. For ABA practices, this includes Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) Ethics Code alignment, payer mix, treatment fidelity data, and supervisory infrastructure. The audit produces a structural map of the organization that informs every subsequent decision in the engagement.

  2. 02

    Blueprint and Agreement

Definition of the systems to be built across the eleven domains and the milestones that mark when each is operational. Each milestone has an objective trigger that determines when the work for that milestone is complete. The agreement governs both parties through the engagement.

  3. 03

    Build the Engine

Embedded implementation across all eleven domains. Leadership development runs concurrently through the Applied Behavioral Leadership Framework, operationalizing supervisor behavior at every level of the organization. The work moves at the pace the organization can absorb.

  4. 04

    Verify and Sustain

Each milestone is independently verified against its objective trigger. The system must be operational and sustained across the defined verification period before the milestone is considered complete. Design alone does not signal completion.

  5. 05

    Scale or Exit Ready

The organization completes the engagement with a functioning operational engine, a developed leadership team, and documented infrastructure ready for investor, acquirer, or strategic partner diligence, or for sustained multi-site operation on the founder's terms.

What Changes

The operational weight begins to redistribute.

First 90 Days

The founder feels the shift.

Within the first ninety days of an active engagement, there is a partner in the work and a roadmap for the next quarter. The founder knows exactly what is being prioritized and what is being built. The operational weight that has been carried alone begins to redistribute into systems and the people responsible for those systems. The founder is no longer the only person who can answer every operational question.

Within 12 Months

The organization operates like a system.

Standard operating procedures are built and held to standard. Role clarity exists at every level. High-potential leaders are identified and being developed through structured supervision and the Applied Behavioral Leadership Framework. The founder can see the health of every part of the organization from a data dashboard rather than holding it all in their head. The organization is, in the technical sense, beginning to function as an organization of excellence.

Where the Framework Is the Right Fit

Built for founders who want a partner, not a consultant.

The Right Fit

The framework serves best the founders who put quality at a high priority and are willing to build systems to fidelity, who have intellectual humility about what they have not yet been trained to do, and who want a partner rather than a consultant.

Not a Fit

The framework is not the right fit for founders who would compromise quality or operate unethically, or who have no plans to grow the organization.
